Current
Supervisor Sarah Sterling is the endorsed Democrat for 1st Ward
Supervisor.
Sarah, who has been active in Hudson politics since 2006, has the knowledge and the experience to continue to represent the 1st Ward on the county level, at the Columbia County Board of Supervisors.
Experience
As
1st Ward Supervisor, Sarah serves on four committees of the Board of
Supervisors: Economic Development, Public Works, Health/Medical Services and Salary Review.
She is a board member of the Columbia Economic Development Corporation and a member of the Advisory Council of the Office for the Aging.
Prior to winning election as Supervisor, Sarah was an elected Alderman for the 1st Ward on the Common Council of the City of Hudson. As Alderman, Sarah served as:
- Majority Leader of the Common Council
- Chair of the Police and Fire Committees
- Chair of the Industrial Development Agency
- Treasurer of the Hudson Development Corporation and secretary of the Hudson Community Development and Planning Agency
